We all develop movement patterns in our bodies
that are often counterproductive and that utilize excess energy. Optimal
joint health requires a balance of tension of surrounding musculature as
well as connective tissue. When the joints are properly aligned, the bones
transfer force appropriately and the body’s various systems and organs
can function as intended.
Breath and body awareness are the basis of movement.
The more we understand of our own bodies and recognize the importance of
breathing as a foundation, the more ease we will have moving in our daily
lives and performing activities. As such, exercise and conditioning need
to translate into functional movement.
The body must be approached in its entirety since all parts are interrelated.
