Why is spinal flexion potentially dangerous to those with bone loss and what do you do instead to strengthen the abs? How do you build and maintain bone density and prevent fractures?
Learn what osteoporosis is, who's at risk, how to avoid it and how to deal with it once it's been diagnosed. Become a licensed Pilates for Buff Bones® instructor! Beginning Friday evening, the weekend includes the latest updates on bone health, learning the choreographed Pilates for Buff Bones workout and cuing techniques, along with lessons in functional anatomy and marketing assistance to equip instructors in tapping into the burgeoning market of osteoporosis management and prevention. To be eligible, you need to have completed a qualifying osteoporosis workshop and be a certified exercise or movement instructor.

Rebekah returns to the PMA this year to present a new workshop called "Moving from the Organs," exploring the long overlooked role of the vicsera in Pilates and their ability to enhance as well as inhibit movement.
Pilates Leader Programme conference

Rebekah will present in Spanish at the Latin American conference Pilates Leader Programme, offering workshops on osteoporosis "Osteoporosis y el ejercicio seguro" as well as restoration of mobility and function of the upper quarter through the foam roller "Recuperación de la movilidad y funcionalidad del cuerpo superior con el Foam Roller."
Wonky Bodies: Exploring Hypermobility

Many associate hypermobility with excess flexibility, but often the presentation is chronic tightness with a tendency to over-stabilize.
