AFFILIATIONS:

Incorporating Movement founder Rebekah Rotstein has experienced the range of physical extremes from ballet dancer to desk-bound corporate marketing manager. |
||||
Injuries that ended her dance career led her to Pilates, which more effectively relieved her chronic pain in its whole-body approach than various other treatments that address pain in an isolated way. Her personal practice of classical Pilates eventually led her to a new career applying Pilates principles in a broader and more biomechanically-focused manner. Her work in the sports medicine department at Smith College as a student athletic trainer years earlier proved useful in her later education at the Kane School of Core Integration, where she eventually joined the teacher training faculty. Additionally, her diagnosis of osteoporosis at age 28 fueled her interest, study and work with those experiencing or at risk of bone loss. Rebekah’s ongoing study of anatomy includes human cadaver dissection and courses in osteoporosis and the nervous system, among many other topics.
