Rebekah's unique and inspiring approach to exercise combines formal anatomy and movement training with education in classical Pilates, osteoporosis management, injury prevention and post-rehabilitation.
She integrates concepts from her study and work with leading doctors and anatomists, athletic trainers and physical therapists, fitness trainers, massage therapists, craniosacral practitioners and acupuncturists, along with movement specialists from the realms of Pilates, Gyrotonic®, yoga, Feldenkrais® and Alexander Technique. This broad spectrum of education and experience influences her distinctive approach to the human body, enabling her to guide exercise for pain relief, bone health, or pure fitness.
Rebekah bases her work in body awareness, breathing patterns and joint motion. She firmly holds that all parts of the body are interconnected, based on her firsthand experience in anatomy labs. This translates into her teaching of movement, so even ab exercises are never just about the abdominals!
Whether helping people with back pain or assisting them to increase strength, flexibility and balance, Rebekah's goal is to empower people so they understand, appreciate and experience movement and exercise in a new manner.
